Pinoy Boxer’s Won!!!
Everybody was waiting for this big event. It is a showcase of four championship boxing fights. Filipino boxers won all eight fights in Sunday’s "Invasion: Philippines vs The World" tournament at the Araneta Coliseum. The victories , Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista and AJ "Bazooka" Banal against their foreign opponents showed the "true character" of the Filipinos. And Gerry Peñalosa dominated the fight against a 31-year old Thai opponent during the main event of the "Invasion: Philippines vs The World" card at the Araneta Coliseum.
Gerry Peñalosa is still the WBO bantamweight king after the referee stopped the fight against Thai challenger Ratanachai Sor Vorapin Sunday morning at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. Peñalosa, 35, scored two knockdowns against Vorapin during the course of the 12-rounder. In Round 5, the 31-year-old Thai was nearly floored but managed to cling on Peñalosa’s waist. Peñalosa now has a win-loss slate of 52-6 with 35 knockouts while Vorapin dropped to 72-10 with 48 KOs.
And I could say that Filipino’s really excel in sports and are willing to face challenges to achieve victory.
Proud to be a Filipino… Go Pinoy!!!
